How to Increase Amazon Sales: A Practical Checklist
The levers that actually move sales on Amazon, in the order to pull them.
Sellers often add more ad spend when sales stall, when the real issue is somewhere else in the funnel. Work through these in order before increasing budget.
1. Fix the listing first
If conversion rate is low, more traffic just means more people leaving without buying. Audit images, title and bullets before touching ad spend.
2. Check Buy Box ownership
If you're losing the Buy Box intermittently, sales will look inconsistent regardless of how good your listing or ads are. This is often the actual root cause.
3. Confirm inventory is never near zero
Amazon's algorithm penalizes listings that go out of stock. A stockout doesn't just pause sales — it can suppress ranking for weeks after inventory is restored.
4. Only then, scale PPC
Once the listing converts well and stock is stable, increasing ad spend actually compounds instead of just buying more visits to a leaky funnel.
